iFilm movies lineup for upcoming weekend: part 2

Catch the latest updates on iFilm TV Channel’s weekend movies and plan your TV time based on your language of choice.

The weekend varies through the sister channels of iFilm English, Arabic, Farsi and iFilm2. Therefore, the end of week falls on Thursday on iFilm2 and iFilm Farsi, Friday and Saturday on iFilm Arabic, and Sunday on iFilm English.

iFilm2:

If you pick Thursday for your movie night, you can indulge yourself in watching ‘Katyusha’ at 16:30 GMT this week.

When a middle-aged war veteran nicknamed Katyusha is tasked with watching over the drug addict son of a wealthy man who’s gone on a trip abroad, hilarity ensues.

iFilm Farsi:

‘The Attack on the H3’ is the title of the movie that will hit the air on iFilm Farsi this Thursday, September 28 at 17:30 GMT.

The film is set in 1980, when the headquarters of the Iraqi Air Force, which faced Iran's air superiority since the beginning of the war and foresaw the imminent breaking of the siege of Abadan, decides to move its strategic planes to three very distant bases, near the border of Jordan. In extraordinary meetings, the headquarters of the Iranian Air Force set a plan to bomb the bases known as H3 bases.

iFilm Arabic:

The first part of the movie ‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’ is to hit the air this Friday, September 29, at 19:00 GMT.

The movie portrays the life of Islam’s Holy Prophet and narrates the early years of his prophecy in Mecca. This is the first part of a trilogy which seems to cover the whole life of the Prophet.

‘Muhammad: The Messenger of God’ initially sets in a time when Muslims were boycotted in an area called “She’eb Abi Talib”.  From the very beginning, the film gives the audience a flashback to events surrounding the prophet’s pre-birth and adolescence. 

The story of Abraha and his attack on Mecca as well as the prophet’s birth and his mother’s death after delivering Muhammad (PBUH) are some of the main sequences.

The impressive work ends with the first journey of the prophet to the Levant in today’s Syria where he visited a Christian monk who foretold Prophethood for him.

Most of important figures in the life of the prophet are represented in the film which has a soft, poetic narrative.

Arabic speaking audience of the channel can see the second part of the movie on Saturday, September 30 at 19:00 GMT.

iFilm English:

And finally on Saturday, September 30, ‘The Magical Journey’ is set to come to you in English.

Tune into iFilm English at 22:00 GMT and watch ‘The Magical Journey’ to see how Dr. Reza Kamali’s punitive approach in parenting drives his son up the wall. He wants to make his son, Sina, an excellent student by tormenting and punishing him. Until one day, when Sina takes refuge in the mysterious washing machine out of fear, a strange thing happens and he finds his way to a wonderful world.
